Biography

Prof. ISIAKA Sulu Babaita is a Professor of Business Administration. He joined the services of University of Ilorin in 1999 as an Assistant Lecturer and rose to the rank of Professor in 2019. He specializes in Human Resource Management and General Management.  Prof. Isiaka has many publications in local, national and International peer review journals to his credit. Prof. Isiaka, has successfully supervised a number of Ph.D., M.Sc., and B. Sc. to completion.  He has also supervised a number of projects on the Professional programs of the Department. These programs are:  Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master in Health Planning and Management (MHPM), and Postgraduate Diploma in Strategic Management (PGDSM)

He was twice Acting Head, in the Department of Business Administration. He was also the Pioneer Acting Head, Department of Industrial Relations & Personnel Management. 

Prof. Isiaka has held a number of positions in the University, some which are- Academic Level Adviser, Staff Adviser, Departmental Students’ Association, Departmental Examination Officer, Departmental Postgraduate Coordinator, MBA Coordinator, Member, Final Students’ Screening Committee, Member, Quality Assurance Committee, Examination Commissioner, Member, Academic Planning and Curriculum Committee, Member, Business Committee of the Senate (BCOS), and Treasurer, Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), University of Ilorin Chapter 

Prof. Isiaka is also an Internal and External Examiner for both MSc. and PhD. in many universities as well as Assessor to different Universities to positions of Associate Professors and Professors. One of these Universities, is a foreign University. Prof. Isiaka is a certified Accreditor to National Universities Commission (NUC). Fellow, Institute of Classic Entrepreneurship, Nigeria (ICENT), FCEnt.
